1. Reviewer Ken clarified that these BBSB remotes use the 2032 Lithium battery.
Could someone please post when you've had to change it (i.e. how long it lasted)? If these could use regular AA (perhaps eneloops) that would have been perfect!

Another BBSB-like model, at a similar price point for 3 outlets, the "BH9936-3" (try google) uses a 12-volt battery Model 23A, and that turned me off, since I have no other devices using 23A batteries.

2. What is the maximal Amperage and wattage rating on these units?

David Higgins' review (Oct 1009) mentions that the BBSB outlet uses 3 watts by itself, even when "off". I like the concept and the pricing but, clearly, there is room for improvement in the product.

I am going to buy one set as remote control, not to save power. One important question for current users - how far away can this remote work? Thanks in advance!

One user mentioned she used this to save $5-6/mo for a printer, that's 50-60 KwH per month for a printer on standby. Is it possible?

Works exactly as described. I found myself using this item at first, less and less as time passed. Now i just stopped using it after all.

Maybe you should look at the energy conservation power strips that cut power to outlets if the main device is not being used.

Are these units not standing by to turn on???

They must consume power in order to be waiting for the remote turn-on signal...
That plus battery waste...

This is Green Envy not Green tech..

Use a switch or un-plug not a power hungry, waste producing remote system.

Duh..
