The meter arrived just slightly off calibration but was easily corrected with the help of 4.01 and 7.01 solutions (which need to be purchased seperately). It doesn’t adjust for temperature but I really don’t need to be that exact. It is a good value and easy to use.

This PH tester works great! It seems to be very accurate and dependable. Don’t forget to order the 4.01 and 7.01 Calibration Solution to calibrate it with, which you have to do before you can use it.

I can a lot of food. It is important to know if the PH is low enough for to ensure longer shelf life. This ph meter works well…and was easy to adjust to the 4.0 and 7.01 samples. I am very pleased.

I bought this to test my soil ph, but it doesn’t work well for this task. I was never really sure if I was getting a true reading because the reading continued to “drift” as long as the meter was in the solution. After doing more research, it appears that this is a typical issue when testing soil ph. Just let a soil lab do it for you.

  5. Floyd L. Erickson Said,

I bought one of these off of ebay. I could not get it to do a 2 point calibration. Calibrate to 7, then to 4; go back to 7 solution and it would be way off, almost by 1 pH. Same with a 7/10 calibrations. I had a high end pH meter for comparison (in my university lab) so it was the Hanna not the solutions or user. Maybe I got a defective meter, or maybe I got just what I paid for.
