Product Description
There’s no single edged weapon that we can think of that can out-chop or out-cut a good Kukri. While Cold Steel’s “thoroughbreds” perform extraordinarily well for the money that they cost, it sometimes seems that what’s required is a good, inexpensive, “workhorse” model. Our Kukri Machetes are those workhorses. They are ready to plow through the toughest chores life can dish out. Each features the distinctive weight-forward balance of our “top-of-the-line” models, and always present their edge on an angle so they’re guaranteed to “bite” deep with every stroke. Additionally, they come complete with a sturdy Cordura sheath! They’re a solid value, ready for long, hard work.

I ordered the machete. They sent me the sheath for the machete. When I inquired about why I did not receive what I thought that I was getting, the people who sent it said that it was someone else’s fault. After a few dozen emails, they said that I would be getting a refund. I am still waiting on that refund.
I would not under any circumstances order this. You will not receive the machete, you will however get a nice sheath.

I was excited about this product. It arrives and I go to chop a bush in the yard that needed trimming and the damn handle broke. Just broke off at the tang. Didn’t even get to use the thing for more than 5 minutes.
I email Cold Steel with pictures asking what they are going to do about it. Receive email 3 days later that they will send me a new one. I think cool. Three weeks later it arrives.
I am afraid to try this one out.

I can’t not imagine having a great machete, and it’s easy for me to imagine many things I would want one for. This one is cheap, not very big, and of good-enough quality and the kukri style is great for cutting brush, chopping, and would be fine of fighting too, if you had too. Truly, unless you have more money you want to spend on a machete, or really don’t need one because you never leave your house out of fear and don’t play Jumanji or perhaps you have no arms…this machete is for you!
With care…chop on…chop on…

I bought this machete a few months ago and I think that the knife is pretty good over all. Like others have said before me, it’s pretty heavy, fairly sharp, and the design of it over all makes and ideal chopper. A good camp knife, a temporary replacement for and axe if the latter isn’t available for everything up to small trees. Works well for splitting.

I was a little disappointed at first. I thought I was getting one that I had seen in person which had a thick “V” shaped cross section and a Krayton handle. I have since learned that the model I saw, which I believe was called LTC, has been discontinued.
So, based on the ammount of money spent on this Kukri I feel that it is a good value. It is a machette made for use not for collecting. It does duty now on my ATV for when I may need to clear a path.
