Excellent product, saved our blueberry crop,
We bought this netting to keep birds off of our blueberry bushes, and I’m happy to report that it worked perfectly. We used fenceposts mounted around the perimeter of the blueberry patch, and then draped the netting over the top. Because it’s not touching the plants, the birds can’t get to the fruit. I used cable ties to secure the corners to the posts after pulling the netting somewhat tight, and we’ve had the best crop ever.
A great product, and I’m hoping it lasts for several years. The UV protection should help protect it from sun damage.

multi critter deterrent,
I originally bought this netting to keep the birds from getting to the fruit on my young trees. I used an oar to get the netting up and over the highest branches, which worked pretty well, but bends the upper branches over… not that it hurts them any.
At any rate, the netting works as I intended it to, keeping the birds from damaging my plums, peaches, and nectarines. I’m finding also that it is a great deterrent for squirls and deer. Early one morning, I saw a large doe within a few feet of my plum tree looking very intently at the net. She explored it with her nose and then just walked off without trying to tear it down or eat a hole in it.
When I pick my plums, I grasp them with a fist full of net, twist them off, and let them fall. They fall into the area where the net is gathered at the bottom and they slowly fall to the ground, where I retrieve them.
This is a very good product and has done a great job for me. I highly recommend it to everyone.

A few Caveats, But Great Product,
I lost every single blueberry I had last year to birds. I was really excited this year to find netting to help with this silly problem, and it has worked out really well. There are some things you should keep in mind, though. After seeing the picture on the front with the netting draped over a tree, I unfolded the net (this takes some time) and threw it over my bushes. I found out quickly, though, that the netting is perfectly made to stick to every branch. Once it’s on, it hard to move again to get to the berries without ripping the bushes apart, so I needed another plan. Note that the net survived this process well and is impressively sturdy. I decided to buy tall fence posts and drape the netting over them, rather than directly on the bushes. This worked perfectly. Everything has gone well and my blueberries have actually had a chance to ripen!
This weekend, I noticed something moving on the side of my little netted palace. It was a bird! The 3/4″ holes are supposed to prevent this, but he had wound himself up in it thoroughly. He had apparently seen those precious blue orbs and just kept shoving his head further and further in until he was stuck. I tried to unwind him, but eventually resorted to gently cutting away the netting. He was not hurt at all and flew away. I hope that this is not common, because that would really reduce this item’s usefulness. Since nobody else mentioned it, I will assume this was a particularly aggressive/stubborn bird and recommend this netting. It is sturdy and does the job.
