Question by slap_shot69: Do you hire a pest control service for your home?
I just moved to Roseville, CA, and bought my first home. I always figured if I had an insect problem, that I could handle it myself. Some have told me that using a pest control service is a good idea. Do you? What do you think?

I rent my home, and the landlord has Terminix come out 4 times a year to treat the house and yard. I have yet to see any unwanted bugs or rodents. I would definitely recommend it!

it all depends on what kind of problems you have, if you have kids or pets be careful. I use hot shot from home depot and it is strong, additionally boric acid (these are for ant, roaches and others) and for rats I use indoor outdoor bat by d-con , with some pellets . good luck

It depends on what kind of problem you’re having. You can always have a pest control service come out and take a look. Usually estimates are free. You may find that working with a local company is cheaper than a national company. You should make sure that they are certified or licensed.

I allways used Terminix but my mother-in-law still kept comming around.

Our land lord is supposed to do ours but they have not in years.
