This is a great product for picking apples, if you have an apple tree you need one of these, they work great!

  2. Lurfy's Ma Said,

This picker will get the fruit, but it usually gets some of the branch as well and sometimes rips off a whole branch. It pulls the fruit off. If the fruit does not come off easily, which my oranges usually don’t, I have to pull hard. When the fruit finally comes loose, the back snap of the branch sometimes causes other oranges to fall to the ground and get bruised or broken. The wire hooks can damage the fruit unless you are very careful.

The wire basket can be difficult to thread through the branches. It is also difficult to grab a single fruit in a cluster.

Get the TwistePicker also available here on Amazon. It beats the wire basket hands down. Read the reviews there before you buy here. Here’s the link:

  3. Billy C. Mcnair Said,

Excellent product. Made from heavy stock so tines do not bend easily.

A must have for anyone with fruit trees, also good to pick Black Walnuts before they hit the ground.

Price was very reasonable considering the high quality.

  4. Peter Piper Said,

So far I’ve used this fruit picker for avocados, most of them 12-16 feet off the ground. It does the job fine, much easier and safer than climbing a ladder. Using a strong, extendable aluminum pole, I’m able to reach the upper branches and pull the avocados off, often two at a time. The picker was simple to attach to the pole, using a hose clamp that’s provided with it. It will be equally simple to remove, when I need the pole for painting again.

  5. Alan Miller Said,

The Tf20090 Fruit Picker Head is well made and is an effective tool for harvesting apples, pears, etc. The tines can bend a little if the tool is handled roughly. This seems to be the only style picker head to be found these days. It a big improvement over my improvised homemade version.
