We’ve gotten away from the gold standard and the reasoning given was that a commodity based currency’s liquidity could not keep up with the industrialized, fast paced U.S. economy.
If we go back to any sort of commodity basis, would it be such a bad thing?

The best thing would be to nationalize banking system, and stop creating money out of thin air. Keep the same amount of money in the economy all the time, the money made by banks on interests could go into useful stuff like education and health instead of in the wallet of people who already have more money than one can possibly spend.
btw whats a commodity based currency?

The mounting DEBT is what is killing the economy. This tax-and-spend crap will destroy us.
The government needs to get out of the way and let capitalism work. Jobs are made in the private sector, not by the government!
