- Recommended bonsai tree
- Great bonsai tree for the beginner
- Tolerates many adverse conditions, hardy tree
Product Description
Juniper Procumbens “nana”. This dwarf Juniper bonsai tree from Japan is the most popular evergreen in the U.S. When we think of a traditional bonsai tree and what it should look like, we think of a “Juniper Procumbens Nana.” It is very hardy, long-lived, and tolerates many adverse conditions. This is an excellent tree for the beginner. This tree is grown with care at Bonsai Boy of New York Nurseries. Watch out for imitations.

Well then, why is what you’re saying running totally counter to the care sheet that came with the bonsai boy juniper!? That plus I’m positive it advertised “eligible for free shipping”–but alas I paid the 8.95 anyway. AND the picture is full and lush. Mine is pretty darn thin compared to that……. But the worst part is, the Bonsai Boy care sheet says specifically if you bring it indoors to keep it DARK. This is saying keep it well-lit while indoors. I live in Northern New England. It’s too cold almost 6 months out of the year to keep it outdoors, and I chose Juniper because the reviews I read said it was a good beginner tree. Which is it, lit or dark indoors?

I purchased this item to spruce up my desk and bring a little life to my office.
I was QUITE impressed with the shipping. I thought since the item was coming from a vendor outside of Amazon, it would take longer to get here. However the item was shipped and delivered within a few days.
The item came in a small box, well wrapped and secured. There was no mess opening the package and the tree was carefully protected inside the box. Along with the tree came instructions on how to care for the tree.
If you’re going to buy a Bonzai tree, get this one!! I was impressed with the company, expediency, and care of the tree. I have had it for several months now and it is healthy and growing!

I received this little beauty as a gift, and I couldn’t be happier with it! The plant is healthy, robust, and despite my best attempts, has survived my ‘green thumb!’

I wasn’t sure how individualized it would be, but the tree arrived and looked almost identical to the photo as advertised. It also arrived healthy.
