my dad wants to run a business so i thought of import export but we just want to know some facts about the business. How much does an average import export business make a year ? is this business stressful ? will this business still be popular in 20 years ?

Advice for you,stay away from it,old saying learn the ropes first then take the plunge.It’s gotta be in you,don’t go out to loose your money,sometimes you could make more money in a company while investing it in a relestate.

Well its better to explore your domestic market first then to go for import/export business. You will need to have an export/import license for such thing. The requirements and quality standards in import/export need to be very high. You should have experience in the handling of the business you are dealing with. Of course its stressful for newbies but once you have your domestic presence it is much easier.

You should be prepared to face pressure if you are willing to do import/export business.
1. turnover of yearly business: it can be a few thousand to 50000$ , this depends on which kind of merchants are you dealing with. for example, it can be 5000 to 20000$ if you are dealing with homewares, like glass jars, articial flowers, etc. it can be millions of $ if you are dealing with jewelery.
2. business always bring pressures to you. it is like every kind of job. but, meanwhile, it give you much more opportunity to be successful ( rich ). you will always have pressure as long as you are working.
3. the business always survive as long as you manage it well. it does not matter which kind of business you r dealing with. there is always people need merchants , or there are always merchants ready to the expected customers.
