This is a perfect product. I have been using them for a couple of years now and have not had a single problem. I must own over a dozen or so. It is a very high quality and stands up to the outdoor environment very well. I have left them outside over the NY winter without any problems. They don’t leak and operate flawlessly.
Of note, if this matters to you, they create a swivel joint that can be a pro or a con depending on the use. For my garden sprinkler, it is a pro because it prevents kinks in the hose. For my sprayer nozzle it is a con, because you need to screw the nozzle to open or close it – I need to be sure to hold the nozzle in the right place to operate it.
Overall, I absolutely love this product and keep buying more for every new hose accessory I buy.
Amazon sells a male/female set or a set of two males. The female end is for the spigot or end of the hose. The male end fits into your sprinkler, nozzle, or sprayer.

Vendor: Amazon.com and excellent as usual. 5 stars.
Product: Unlike most of the junk made by mainland China, this is a fairly well made piece of equipment. There is some leaking when it is first put to use, but once the “o” rings seat, the leaking stops and they become water tight. I have six of them in use and they are a great time saver, not to mention the savings in aggravation in detaching and reattaching equipment in the garden.
You may find some initial “fitting” is necessary together with an occasional lubrication for easier use.

I have a large yard & 6 grandkids, so I have to change my hose end often. I have been using the plastic quick connects for many years & have loved them! But, they do crack & leak after awhile. So this year, after reading alot of reviews, I decided to go with the brass, Nelson brand. So far, so good. This is my first year with brass, but I have every expectation that they will be just as convenient, but last longer. What a great invention!

This has worked very well for me and my gardening. It is great to “quick” disconnect from my hose nozzle to other watering items without having to unscrew the hose constantly.

These all brass unit get all stars. I have used them for years and have never had an issue/problem with any of them. I also use them on my RV water connection. I leave the male end always connected to the RV water line input connection. I leave the female connected to the water hose I use to connect to the RV park water faucet. To protect the RV male connection when not in use, I adapted an extra Nelson Brass Hose ‘female’ Quick Connector end with a cap screwed into it to keep the connection clean. Zero leaking connections and this makes it far easier hook-up to the RV park water.
I tried cheaper units and some of the plastic (?) rubber (?) units. Garbage. These are 100% quality and you can not beat the price.
