‘Once in a century’ heat wave in March could hit wheat output
United News of India New Delhi, Mar 24: Scorching hot conditions in the month of March were expected to lead to a 20 per cent shortfall in the wheat crop in Punjab as severe heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and north Madhya Pradesh today.
