I got my first Ultimate AT about 2 years ago. I moved into an old farm house that had a horrible mouse problem (which I didn’t realize until after I’d signed the paperwork). I cleaned up the droppings that were all over the kitchen, and to my dismay they were everywhere again the next day! I typed in “mouse repeller” on google and the Good Life site came up first. I bought just one unit for my kitchen, cleaned up the droppings again, and I never saw so much of a ‘speck’ again!
My parents had really bad ants at their house in their kitchen and bathroom. I took my Ultimate AT over to their house and plugged it into the hallway between those two areas. Within 24 hours their ants were gone, but my mom wouldn’t give the AT back to me so I had to go buy another one. =)
Now I use my Ultimate AT out in my garage of my new home, and it really helps keep the mice and spiders at bay. One day I noticed a large spider web out in the garage, I was so upset… I looked up and realized that someone had unplugged my AT (the landlord had been there earlier doing yard work and he needed the outlets). Seeing the spider web that developed when the unit wasn’t plugged in really showed me how well my AT works! I bought one more I keep in my kitchen, to keep ants out in the spring and summer. I love these things!

I live in an older home (circa 1920s), and this is the first Spring season that we’ve lived in it (rental).
Our ant problem was more of a nuance in the bathroom then in other places. I mean, who wants to shower with ants? Not me!
I also noticed them coming into the back room which was no surprise considering my 8-year old loves to snack while on the computer (that’s since been nipped in the bud).
At any rate, the Ultimate AT has been moved from room to room (for a minimum of 36 hours) with no marked improvement. And since I do not have access to Oprah’s money, I will not be purchasing a unit for every room in the house… to see if doing so improves or worsens the matter.
I’m not going to be negative and say that the unit didn’t work because it seems to do so on a case-by-case basis (see other reviews)… much like other remedies.
My suggestion is head to your local Lowe’s and pick up the Victor PestChaser electronic pest devices (3-pack). This way, you can test this pest control method to see if it will be effective in your home (something I didn’t do). If you notice changes and want to “amp” things up, then purchase a couple of the Ultimate AT units. If you don’t notice any changes, you’ve only invested $22 instead of $60+.
No harm, no foul! Right? ;)

Contacted Good Life about question. Learned that you need one “ultimate AT” for each fused line or circuit breaker for it to work. Six fuse/circuit breakers: six units: cost is $360.00. Better to get a cat.

I used to have a problem with mice that would scurry across my kitchen floors at the most inopportune times – almost always when I had company over! Anyway I read quite a bit about the Ultimate AT and the company that makes it (Good Life) before I decided to give it a shot. I looked at other competing products (Riddex, Pest Offense, etc) and the AT looked to be the best of the bunch. I bought two and installed one in the kitchen and one in the dining area.
I haven’t seen one since! My golden retriever doesn’t seem to be bothered either. This one is a homerun. Thanks guys!
