Question by kewl_rich_dude: Can you use an older business plan?
I have a business plan that was wrote for my dad, when he was farming and it was wrote so that i could get credit to build up the farming operation, my dad had scaled back the farm when i was around six, due to cancer, and my grandpa died of cancer around the same time, the plan was wrote in 1990, and is wrote for what i plan to do, could i use this plan still or update it, everything is still about the same prices for what is wrote, just want to get farming and raise grain, cattle and hogs. my credit scores are in the high 500′s to low 600′s and the farming operation is worth $ 500,000.00 with dunn & bradstreet, and i have an ein for it, could someone help with this.

You would need to rewrite the plan to make sure it is appropriate to how you are going to run the business. You could use it as a basis for moving forward, and don’t forget you will need to constantly update your business plan as you move forward with the business venture.
