Deep within my broken heart,
Strangled dead with his own hand.
Agony, it is just a start,
I choke on these grains of sand.
False idols and pagan rites,
See I wish I’d not been born.
Doctors in the dead of night,
Another dead, a mom forlorn.
Millions die in silent pain,
Millions more, does no one care?
If it’s one just call him Cain,
Infanticide, when stripped down bare.
Take my soul, it’s very dark,
Let others live, my only dream.
Please I pray we need a spark,
My only need, their souls redeem.
I know this will be contreversial, but this is just my opinion. Everyone must look into their own heart and decide. I only hope we come to a consensus soon.
I am pro-life and saying I would give up my life to stop the murder of so many innocent children.

extremely well written and thoughtful you should go to poetry.com I’m sure they will choose it to print in there next book maybe even put it on tape to music read by a professional reader.
Might even get the editors choice award.

I liked your poem and yes it made me think where i am with this issue in the poem; but i;l keep my opinions to myself as 1 stalker for me is plenty..Good for you to write what you feel in your heart,

Seemingly
there is no God
just a multitude of lies
Bible thumping
chaos
like one’s chaffing of the thighs

It’s very poignant. So full of emotion. If people would stop thinking life is disposable maybe we could stop all the killing.

I still don’t understand what your opinion is..
Are you saying that you wished you were not born?
If you that is your point..we would be less one great poet and that would have been a tragedy.
I stand for life and all its worth
It starts at conception

I will go on record here and now.
If someone is pregnant and doesn’t want the child, don’t kill it, give it to someone who does want it and possibly can’t have one. As for me, I’ll take your unwanted child and love it as my own, so don’t kill it, give it to me. There are a lot of people walking the streets today that can be happy that although they were an unwanted pregnancy, their parents opted to let them live. Just my opinion, but kids are the future of our world, if we kill em all, there won’t be a future.

I understand pro-life and pro-choice and the whole life vs murder is a hugely controversial and heated issue.
However, in your poem many things dont quite make sense to me…Im not sure what Paganism has to do with anything, or are you associating Paganism with abortion??? And if so, why? Im not clear on many things in the poem, thats just one thing that jumps out at me.

I think I shall have to keep an eye on you. I like what you wrote. I will try to comment on something else later. As for a consensus, don’t be surprised if there is never one reached, the people are too afraid of offending someone, even murderers.
