Question by Buddy123: Searching for a horse muzzle?
I am searching for a horse muzzle, contrary to what some may think a horse muzzle is not a total restriction device. It simply limits that volume a horse consumes. It does not keep them from grazing, drinking or eating hay or grain. It slows down a greedy eater.Does anyone know where I can find one? The local tack shops don’t have them. Stateline Tack where I usually mail-order is out of business.Thanks.

I use the grazing muzzles sold by Best Friend Equine Supply (bestfriendequine.com). They are excellent quality and come in several sizes. A grazing muzzle is the best gift you can give a horse that is overweight or who has insulin resistance or Cushings. Good luck!

Um…State Line Tack is still in business although they are no longer a part of Petsmart.
You can also try Valley Vet and Dover.

You can easily attach this to your halter but bring it in after so your horse or the weather doesn’t ruin it. Also if I may suggest, do not keep the halter and muzzle on all day; it is bad for the horse and their skin can grow over it if it’s kept on so long.

Have you tried googling it?
I know horses that can still pig out with a grazing muzzle and even some horses that learn how to crib on it.
