Product Description
Transfer a 5 gallon container of gas in less than 1 ½ min, without any dripping. Also good for transferring diesel, paint, or oil. Safely transfer gas to your boat, Jet Ski, or even your lawnmower without the danger of spilling. Empty out the bilge, or the bottom of your boat, with just a few quick shakes to start the siphoning. Around the house you can easily transfer liquids from aquariums, clogged up sinks or tubs, fish ponds, or to empty out your Jacuzzi. Just drop the pump end, which works like a check valve, into whatever liquid you want to siphon and snap the hose up and down a few times to start the flow. (NOTE: The “siphon-from” container MUST be higher than the “siphon-to” container.) As you snap the hose down into the liquid, the check valve allows the liquid in the hose, but not back out. When enough liquid gets into the hose, the Super Siphoning effect takes over … Just lower the end of the hose into your container and the liquid starts flowing!

I figured when I bought this I had a 50/50 chance of it working based on some information I read at a bulletin board. Wrong! This product works as advertised. I have used it to drain gas from my boat and transfer it to other containers, transfer gas from containers to my truck and car (haven’t tried to use it to take gas out of my truck), and to drain trapped water off my boat cover. As long as you can get the discharge end of the tube below the liquid you are trying to drain it works very well.

Super Siphon is a nice simple safety tool that works perfectly every time I’ve used it. No more sucking fumes or harmful stuff into your mouth and lungs. After scratching my head for a little I read the instructions and it’s pretty simple to make it work. It takes 3 to 5 shakes up and down to get it started (from the tank you are siphoning from), then drop the other end of the siphon hose into the receiving tank, then gravity takes over to transfer fuel or water or whatever from one tank to another. To stop siphoning, just lift the hose out of the liquid and it stops. It couldn’t be much easier. I bought three, one for fresh water on my boat, one for my aquarium, and one for fuel so I don’t have to worry about cleaning the hose or contaminating water with fuel. One important note: Rules of gravity still apply of course – you cannot siphon “UP” – the tank you siphon TO must be LOWER than the tank you siphon FROM. Overall, a great product at a fair price, and a must-have if you have a boat or rv.

I only had limited success trying to empty my snow blower gas tank into a gas can, which I put several feet lower than the snow blower. After a lot of shaking of the siphon, some gas worked its way a few inches up the tube but not as high as the edge of the tank. When I lifted tube to get some fluid flowing down, most of the gas came the end of the siphon back into snow blower. I conclude that I probably have a defective product since the valve does not work as described. After 30 minutes of work, I only managed to drain 1/2 the snow blower tank.

I really wanted this to work. I purchased it to siphon gas from my two cars for use in my new generator in case of an extended electical outage like the one-week outage that happened last winter.
I was able to get the siphon threaded into the tank of my Honda Civic, but no amount of shaking would start the flow of gas – I’m thinking the tank was too shallow, even though it was mostly full.
Then I tried it in my Lexus RX300. I got it in a foot and at the first bend the copper tip came off, jammed about 9″ into the filler tube. After reading the other one-star review I was aware that this was a possibility and had initally wrapped wire around the tip to make it more secure, but it wouldn’t fit though the nozzle hole with the additional wire so I removed and just secured the tip into the hose as well as I could.
I took it to the local body shop to see if they could remove the tip and they had some needle nose pliers with 12″ jaws and were able to extract it.
In re-reading the product description, I see that it doesn’t actually say you can use it to siphon gas from vehicles and I can’t recommend it for that use.
Other than the tip coming off, the siphon is well made and would be suitable for use in a wide-mouthed container that had more than a few inches of liquid in it.
The one-star review is for vehicle use, which is unfair since it wasn’t sold as being suitable for that. For just transferring fluids in easily accessible containers, I’d give it 3 or 4 stars.

Trying to get gas from a vehicle about to be donated. My daughter had filled up the day before we decided to “pronounce” it. Most reviews gave this product high praise.
Following directions I inserted into the tank and after just a few less than vigorous shakes to get the flow going I hear a metalic click. Yeah, that was the fitting coming out of the hose & slipping down into the tank.
Very disappointed. Low expense but you would think the only connecting part would be more sturdy.
Simple – Maybe, if you can get the POC to work. Advice is to make sure your transfer source is more open & accessible.
