My brother is doing a state report, and need quick, and excellent answers/details.
What Indian tribes lived in Nebraska, and what happened to them? Role in Civil Rights movements? What famous persons came from this state? What historical events happened? How is the climate? Are there desterts? Tundra? Rainforest? Salt lakes? What do people do for a living? What types of jobs are offered? How’s the agriculture? etc. etc.

CIVIL WAR
Nebraska became the 37th state in 1867, shortly AFTER the American Civil War.
HISTORY
On May 30, 1854, the Kansas-Nebraska Act created the Kansas Territory and the Nebraska Territory, divided by the Parallel 40° North. The territorial capital of Nebraska was Omaha.
HISTORY/TOPOGRAPHY
Once considered part of the Great American Desert, it is now a leading farming and ranching state.
CULTURE
The Arbor Day holiday began in Nebraska, and the National Arbor Day Foundation is still headquartered in Nebraska City.
CIVIL RIGHTS
Nebraska has a long history of civil rights activism, starting in 1912 with the foundation of Omaha’s National Association for the Advancement of Colored People chapter.
CLIMATE
Nebraska is located in Tornado Alley.Two major climates are represented in Nebraska: the eastern half of the state has a humid continental climate , and the western half of the state has a semi-arid continental steppe climate. The entire state experiences wide seasonal variations in temperature and precipitation.
INDUSTRY
Nebraska has a large agriculture sector, and is an important producer of beef, pork, corn (maize), and soybeans.[4] Other important economic sectors include freight transport (by rail and truck), manufacturing, telecommunications, information technology, and insurance.
FAMOUS PEOPLE
Kool-Aid was created in 1927 by Edwin Perkins in the city of Hastings, which celebrates the event the second weekend of every August with Kool-Aid Days.
Omaha is home to Berkshire Hathaway, whose CEO Warren Buffett was ranked in March of 2008 by Forbes magazine as the richest person in the world.

Indian Tribes: Pawnee, Omaha, Soiux (Nebraska has one if not two reserves)
Famous People: Johnny Carson, Malcom X, President Ford (born in Omaha, later moved to Michigan)
Historical: Trans-continental railway met in Omaha, pony express went through nebraska, oregon trail (many used chimney rock as a land marker)
Climate: Hot summers and cool to cold winters, stormy in the spring and fall. The sand hills attarct people from around the world because it is the largest dune field in the western hemisphere.
Jobs: becoming more and more office jobs in the bigger cities of Omaha and Lincoln. The rest of the state contains alot of agriculture, though.
